Kimble Recycling & Disposal, Inc. Yard Waste Guidelines

  • Grass clippings, leaves and other yard waste should be placed in the Kimble provided trash cart, personal containers, or in brown paper yard waste bags, which are available at discount, drug and hardware stores. 
  • The bags and cans should not weigh more than 40 pounds when fully loaded. 
  • Cut branches to no more than 4 feet in length and bundle them with string. Place them at curbside alongside the yard waste bags and cans. 
  • Do not place yard waste in the Kimble provided Recycling cart. 
  • Loose leaves - The City of Berea will collect leaves at the curb according to published schedule in the fall.  Leaves must be bagged in the spring for pickup.
  • Yard waste generated by contractors must be removed and disposed of by contractors.

Service Garage Brush Collection Guidelines

Brush collection by the City is generally once a week if we have workers available. Be sure to call the Service Garage at (440) 826-5853 to get onto the list for the next pickup.   We do not have a set schedule for this service.  If you prefer, cut down and bundle your brush for trash collection. This program is for large piles of brush.   Small sticks and twigs should be thrown in your trash cart. 

Brush Collection Rules:

  • Brush piles, large branches (4 feet or longer).
  • Brush ends should go with the traffic flow for safe collection by our Service Employees.
  • No Vines, No Root Balls, No Ivy of any kind.
  • Do not use string or rope for collection for the Service Department.
