Red Cedar Coffee Revises Plans

Red Cedar Coffee revises plans for new building Red Cedar Coffee presented revised plans to the Planning Commission in February that show its new 6,369-square-foot building “flipped” on the site. Architect Mike Molchan of Makovich & Pusti said a civil engineer had recommended that the new building be placed on the opposite site of the property to more properly deal with drainage. Water will drain to a swale and then to an above ground retention basin. “It’s a more green solution,” Molchan said. Site plans for Red Cedar were first presented to Planning Commission in December 2017. Owner Larry Denton said he hopes to have the structure up and running by the end of this year. It will include an expanded retail area and outdoor dining. A vacant house on the Bagley Road property will be razed.
