Mission Statement

Our goal is to provide the sensational seniors of Berea (60 and up? You’re in!) with activities and programs that will increase their daily social levels.

Special events and activities are planned year round for Berea’s seniors. Participate in Bus Trips, Wii bowling, luncheons, monthly dances, educational seminars and much more. Join us in the Active Senior Network room, located at the Berea Recreation Center or at Smith School and enjoy the many amenities that are provided for you listed in our program guide. 


Active Senior Network Room

The Active Senior Network room at the Berea Recreation Center for sensational seniors age 60 years or older. The room has a beautiful wood floor, couches, chairs, a 61-inch TV, fireplace, piano, tables, kitchen and computers. The room is used for regular scheduled senior programs but is open to all seniors to use at their leisure for reading, watching TV, playing cards, playing the Wii, assembling puzzles, working on the computers, or so much more!

Smith Elementary School

The Active Senior Network has expanded to include events and programs at Smith Elementary School located at 535 Wyleswood Drive. These include Club 535 (a monthly night out of dancing, games and fun), the Inspiration Information speaker series offering a variety of valuable informative topics and pick-up basketball games.

Inspiration Information (speaker series)

This monthly speaker series brings experts to discuss a wide variety of topics important to our sensational seniors such as wellness, safety, phone scams, gardening and much more. The presentations will take place on various times and days. See the program guide for details.  

Bus Trips

Join other sensational seniors for trips in and out of town to Casinos, the Westside Market, Smuckers and more. The choice is yours! For details, call Michelle Skutt at 440-234-6080.

Monthly Luncheons at St. Paul Lutheran Church

Luncheons are $5 and held the second Tuesday every month at noon.
