Multi-Family Occupancy Permits

Overview

In 1965, Berea City Council passed legislation requiring that owners of all multiple family dwellings (structures containing three or more dwelling units) obtain a Certificate of Occupancy on a yearly basis. 

All Certificates of Occupancy expire on December 31st of each year. 

To Apply

Owners of multiple family dwellings must:

  1. Submit an application
  2. Pay all applicable fees to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy

Fair Housing Ordinance

The fair housing ordinance is continuing policy of the City to do all things necessary and proper to secure for all citizens their rights to equal housing opportunities regardless of their race, color, national origin, sex, handicap or disability, religious beliefs, ancestry, familial status or military status.
